crazy yoyo

I have a pair yoyo loaches that keeps trying to swim into the filter outlet it is a aqua tech power filter 30-60 I'm wondering if I should be conserned or what I can do to keep them safe iv lowered the water levels but they still are trying

 

I think they just love the current. You should get them some airstones and a strong airpump.

 

I do have a good pump with an air stone that they played in for about a month now I can't keep them away from the filter outlet

 

Sounds like normal crazy yoyos to me how we kept them from getting in was buying craft needle point sheets(same thing a lot of people buy to make DIY Betta dividers) we cut it to size and placed it between the output and the hood so they could not swim into it.

I have one that can swim up the current and get in the filter. I thought it somehow got out of the tank and died until I did a filter cleaning.
Now I don't worry about it he comes and goes from the filter when he feels like it.

 

The entire species is insane. They come from an area that has lots of fast flowing stream and rivers. So current comes closer to mimicking what they like.

 

LOL yes, insane yoyo loaches I love yoyo loaches for their craziness! When mine found my return pumps I think they swam in the current for 2 months straight before they found something else to do ^^

It might be a good idea to block your filter off... I did because I didn't want them to get stuck in it. I put enough media at the opening of the filter to block them from entering if they tried.
