Crayfish + Plants Question

HI all!

I've kept a blue crayfish before (she was actually my first ever aquatic pet!) but I didn't know much then and I didn't even try to keep any live plants with her. I know crayfish are generally not plant safe but I just wanted to ask and see if there are any plants that anyone knows of that might be "relatively" safe with a crayfish. Any ideas or suggestions? This is just a random question and I'm definitely not set on having plants with a cray!

 

After my cray went through an expensive plant feeding frenzy I thought I'd try plastic plants he proceeded to destroy them as well, I don't think anything's safe its probably down to each cray, I have friend with same cray and he leaves his alone

 

Maybe try floating plants or moss balls. As said above fake plants are probably the safest option.

Has anybody ever experienced cases of their blue lobster mysteriously vanishing? I’ve had my blue lobster with my zebra danios and sucker loach for around 6 months now and all seemed to be going well. However I woke up this morning and after searching and removing everything from my tank their is no sign of my lobster anymore??? Is it possibly that my sucker loach had a feast (but I would’ve expected to find body parts)? Or that he’s maybe burrowed somewhere in the see gravel?

 

Theres a chance he's escaped which they are very good at have a good look around they can survive a while out of the water, if it as died the danios would have a go

 

Yes, my crayfish escaped from his tank one morning, and I don't know how long he was out of water. But, my brother found him, alive and well, and I just put him back in the aquarium, but made sure I closed the lid that time.

Or, he may could just be hiding. There's been several occasions in which I looked for him for about 10 minutes, and then I found him burrowing or in his cave.
