Hi,
This is has probably been asked before, but I have heard about crayfish and how they can wipe out your live plants. Is there any particular plant or plants that crayfish do not like but are still suitable to add to their tank? I am just set on getting live plants because they are so much prettier, but don't want to be foolish either! Thanks for any help, I am a crayfish/fish newbie!

I'm not sure if there are any plants a crayfish won't at least tear to shreds, but there are a couple that might grow faster than one crayfish can destroy . Elodea/Anacharis is a good one, probably the most common. Under the proper conditions it can grow several inches in less than a week.

My crayfish is pretty destructive, so I have all fake plants in his tank now.

Shredding the plants is only half the problem. Crayfish are aquatic bulldozers and will dig up the plants, destroying the roots. You could try floating plants, as long as your lid it tight fitting....otherwise you're likely to walk into the room and see your cray sitting on top of the tank
