Honestly I wouldnt mess with it. Sell it on FB marketplace for 40 bucks as a lizard tank and get a new one or used one on FB or offer up.View attachment 455623 I’m new to this forum and to aquariums. I bought a ten gallon tank secondhand and de-rimmed it. It had a crack on the outside bottom corner underneath the rim, but I decided to test it and filled it up with water to the top for two weeks straight. It didn’t leak a single time and the crack didn’t get larger, but I’m still apprehensive about using it. I’ve seen a lot of different opions on cracks and I wondering whether I should chance it, or toss it and get a new one. Could I just buy a tube of silicon and cover it up? Again, I’m brand new to the hobby, so I’m not really sure what to do here.

Actually I see morons pay 40 for a cracked tank all the timeNo one is going to pay $40 for a cracked 10G that they can get for 10 bucks at petco.....
I agree, I wouldn't mess with a cracked tank. If I were you I would toss it and take advantage of Petco's dollar per gallon sale and get yourself a 10 gallon for $10. (or something even bigger!)
