20180807_172926.jpg is this stuff suitable for my crabs? Its smaller than gravel, and its marketed as 'sand'. It doesn't go all the way up. I just thought since they didnt wanna use the beach very much that this would help them differentiate the different areas in the tank . it only goes up until the first paet of the green rock then stops, leaving more beach sand area than before .

I read that you shouldn't have a beach area that like, the bacteria gets trapped under the sand, and it'll kill the crabs.

So what do you think I should do? I can change it around and mess with it next time I do my water change . but what do you suggest I do with it? Eveeyone says to they need sloped beach area like that? Are you just saying to take out fhe part that's not regular sand?

.

If anyone has any tips on how to make more of an island type beach with small slope in a 10 gallon I would love to make that. Just couldnt really figure it out on my own, that's why I went with straight slope . I would absolutely appreciate some tips lol. I will remove the sand from under the substrate and separate it, that's no problem . just divide it in half
