I'm thinking about getting a small group of CPDs but I'm worried about aggression. What would be a large enough group that they don't have any issues? Does there need to be a ratio of males to females to minimize aggression?

    What size is your tank?
A group of 6+ CPD would be good, if your tank will allow.
What else do you have in your tank?

20 gallon high. Nothing else in the tank yet (still planning stocking etc) I was thinking maybe some Corys and whit cloud minnows, but I'm not certain their water parameters match.
CPDs are supposed to be cooler temps right?

I believe so, I think they would be fine together, your planned stock looks good. just be sure that the cories have plenty of space, they like to explore
