Cpd Deaths

just added 10 cpd to my 10 gallon with a dwarf gourami and 4 mystery snails. has an ac20 with cycled media in it, heated at 78/79 and I did a wc before adding them. I temp acclimated and then slowly added aquarium water to their bag and then took them out of that water and netted them in, this morning all were accounted for, and when I got back from school, I found one on the intake missing eyes and half a tail, and another pinned down by a snail. I tested water again and 0,0,60 so i'm assuming they were there most the day. did a 30% change about 4 hours ago, all are fine, and eating. I know my stocking is a little weird but i'm hoping to move out 3 snails once they get bigger. aqadvisor says i'm at 94% and have plenty of filtration. i'm bring the deceased fish back along with a water sample to my lfs I got them from (I had to order them specifically) and hopefully they still have some left to replace them. what could be causing the deaths? stress?

I had my LFS bring them in too, later the shop owner told me they always have problems with them.
Summer heat probably makes it worse. From reading I think they like it a little cooler 75F.
Sadly of the 9 I got only 1 lived and the rest died within the week.
The 1 is doing well now and hopefully the next batch does better.

I’m so sorry.
Did you check your ph too? What did they look like before dying. You have pics of the remaining ones?

ugh I have my tank at 78/79 I thought they did well with that I'll lower it in hopes it will help. if they pass I'll just find another nano school ( really loved these guys tho

it's 7.3, no pics, it was late when I got them and I didn't want to stress them out and I was just focus on them. the two that died today had no flaw, they were just floating my mom said one was hanging around near the filter just being still, he probably was one that passed. so frustrated

How did the rest do? how many total did you buy / survive?
I really want to breed these, they seem very rare in my area.

I bought 10, 6 survives. I haven't gotten anymore yet, I might not add anymore, they seem to be doing really well at the moment!

You might wait until the temperature goes down.
