The best thing to go by is the breeding tube, which I can’t see. Angels can get around 6 inches tall, and 6 inches long.

Sure does. Personally a recommend 20 gallons (tall) per full grown Angel.

Yep. Agreed with above. They can get very aggressive with each other in smaller tanks, so I’m glad you just got one :) How big’s the tank you’re putting it in?

Ah, nice. You could easily fit one more if you’d want to.

It depends. If you get a second angelfish, then I would suggest against it. If not, you can easily fit a bristlenose pleco or something of similar size.

Angels need to be about two inches in diameter before you can attempt to sex them, angels are not sexually dimorphic like other cichlids. I would only do one angel as a centerpiece if you get a pair they will terrorize your other fish every time they lay eggs (even if you get two females those will pair up and spawn as well), which is normally every two weeks.

was at my lsf and saw some really big angels, i was wondering if all of them get as large. mine has the body size of a quarter, some at the store were a little smaller then my palm. how big do their bodies get not including fins?

Your average angel will get to be about 3-4 inches in diameter, generally the 3 inch ones are around 6-7 inches tall including fins while the 4 inch ones are 6-8 inches tall including fins. Veil and super veil get taller but that is based on fins only (example my three inch veil angel was 8 inches tall from top to bottom and was only at 1.5 yrs old and it was a male so it would still be growing as long as his new owner is taking good care of him).
