My first question is about my crypt wendtii's. The ones I've had for a while are green, and long leaved. They were purchased from PetSmart in those little pouches.

I just bought a potted one from Pet Supermarket, and it's red, with shorter, more rounded leaves. Whys that?

Also, in my quarantine tank, I have the new crypt as well as a peice of the old one, an amazon sword, an ocelot sword, a cyprus plant, aponogenton bulbs, a lily bulb and guppy grass. It houses a goldfish that I'd like to treat with aquarium salt, but I don't want to kill my plants. Will any of these plants have an issues with a tablespoon per 5 gallons of salt?

There are many different varieties of crypt wendtii so you probably just got a different variety.

As for the salt, I don't know. I don't use salt. Let's see what another member says.
