Corys chasing each other continually?

I have 2 large regular peppered cory catfish, and 6 juvenile (Adults?) highfin peppered corys, I have been noticing that the juveniles have been chasing some of the other catfish around, and it isn't like a playful, you bugged me, let me go after you thing, it is more of a chase them down type deal, the juveniles are super persistent, they seem to try to be getting in front of the catfish they are chasing, sometimes more than one are chasing each other, the adults don't seem to chase any of the juveniles, just the juveniles chasing the adults or other juveniles. Should I be worried about this behavior?

Hi, I have just in the last 6 months gained x7 Albino Cory and have to say everything is off the table in regards to their behaviour.

All of them are everywhere... darting to the top of the tank, swimming as fast as they can round the outskirt of the tank to just resting laying on the bottom not giving a care.

They do chase each other and can be quite erratic at times, to me if they were not chasing each other round the tank and everywhere then I'd think there was a problem.

Obvs this is for Albino Cory, not sure on Peppered Cory!

Thanks! I think it would generally be the same with peppered cories! Thank you again!

I agree, of all the years I've owned cories(pygmy, Julii, panda, bronze), they all tend to do this more often than not. Are either the juveniles or adult ones new additions to the tank? If so, I notice more chasing and "nudging" when new ones are added to the shoal. Just exploring each other I suppose. I can't see there being any issue unless you notice symptoms of stress in the larger cories.

Alright thanks! I haven't noticed any signs of stress, I was just wondering if there was an overall reason for this behavior.

Could this have been breeding behavior? I noticed a ton of catfish eggs today, I have never had catfish eggs before!

Every time mine act like that I end up with more cories. So many cories! Haha.

Since you have eggs, they were breeding.

Bigger ones = females
Smaller ones = male
Males chase the females to spawn and make tiny ones as Lucy said.
