Corydoras Substrate?

What’s the ideal Corydora substrate in your opinion, the only substrate I have right now is eco-complete and I’m assuming that’s a no go with the catfish. Is there other options besides sand?

Btw the Corys aren’t on eco complete, they have little glass marble like things at the bottom of their tank

You will be fine with smooth gravel. I always think people underestimate cories toughness. If you keep your gravel relatively clean there is no reason they won't do ok. They do enjoy sifting through sand and such but I have some on gravel that are doing great!

I only keep my cories on fine sand, because they risk injuring their soft tummies and barbels on course or sharp gravel.
You can use pea gravel, as long as it is the rounded type, other gravel may be more jagged and more likely to injure them.
