Dark Corydoras venezuelanus

 

While I keep several gangs of Bronze/Green Corys in several tanks, I found this guy….a rather colorful Peppered Cory and he is no longer among the Bronzes, but w my Betta. He was a single Cory at the LFS among the eight Bronzes I bought one day. Honestly, I didn’t really notice at the time. Have not seen one since around here, but I’m looking. May even do up a special order as I’ve come to love these little guys although the pics of Peppered Corys I‘ve seen don’t seem to have as much color.

No matter the species, I think Corys are among the absolute best bottom dwellers and are a blast to watch.
