for any cory you want a minimum of five... are you wanting to add any more fish to your tank, or just the cory's and the cherry barbs? I would recommend getting six cory's, unles you are only doing cory's and cherry barbs only, then do ten cory's.

P.S: I would recommend getting two at a time, 1 cory gets depressed because he doesn't have a buddy...

Is your tank long or tall? I wouldn't do sterbaI in a tall tank, they need space to move around. Smaller cories would be fine though: pepper, panda, pymgy, habrosus etc.

planet catfish says 2.6 inches, which is too big for a 20 high. But I like to give my fish room to swim I think this is particularly important due to the nature of the fish. Some fish only utilize 2 dimensions of the tank, in which case they deserve a larger foot print. I know corys swim all over, but they primarily stay on the bottom, and there is only so much bottom available, just as there is only so much surface available.

Right, that makes sense... +1 on the dimensions, very informative, and that really makes sense!!!

I once saw one of these Cory's measured at just over 3 inches. Unless you have a 20 gallon long I'd look at smaller Cory's like the ones mentioned above.

Right now i've got Pandas and they are great! Smaller too. I've also got Albinos, which aren't too big, but mine seem to breed like bunnies. Plenty of options with smaller cories.

Right now I have 4 leopard cories in a 10 and they seem to be just find and quite happy. But I agree with others. 4-6 is a minimum..

Yes. Regular is 20 gallon tall.

With a 20 gallon tank it is either a high (often called a regular) or a long. There really isn't an inbetween with them.
