I’m a little confused so hopefully someone can help.
For starters I want to clarify that I’m aware of the fact that corys prefer to school with their own species. The reason my stocking is this way is because I didn’t realize this as a beginner.
So, I have 10 corys. 8 are bronze, one is albino and one is peppered. My albino cory is of the bronze species so the only odd one out is the pepper. Something to know is that 7 of the bronze corys are offspring of the 8th bronze and the albino because they have spawned before.
Anyways, I really had fun raising those corys, so I decided I was going to try and condition them to breed again by feeding frozen foods and doing water changes with cooler water. Well, when I did this I started looking for breeding behavior because I wanted to make sure my albino didn’t breed with any of her kids because I don’t want the babies to be genetically weak. But what started happening was the peppered cory seemed to be chasing her! I’m not sure why this would be happening because I know that corydoras species dont interbreed. So what could be going on?
