Cory sick, help needed - pics

Hey,

One of my corys has suddenly got this big white blotch across her body.

Can you take a look and see if you recognize the problem? All my water chemistry is optimal but tank temp jumped up to 30 degrees last couple days coz we had a heat wave.

 

It looks a little like fungus, but I can't really be sure from the .

 

any other theories on this? its like a big white extra layer of skin

 

I'd say fungus, Did you notice other changes in tank corners? Did you cross-contaminate? I noticed my water siphon & hose gets fungus if I don't chlorinate and rinse totally dry. Possibly added decor that was emerged and then submerged, so cory rubbed against it. If there is a lot of oxygen or air near partially submerged/emerged plants/decor conditions are ripe for fungal growth.

Try a water dechlorinator that contains echinea(wrong spelling)

Is this something corys are prone to? This is my second cory death in about 6 months, the other death seeemed to be fungus related too

 

Corys can be sensitive. In my experience, they either do great, or they don't. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground.

It looked like the cory might have scraped its side on substrate/decor and then it became infected.

What are your readings?

Here's my readings. They're consistently like this as i'm currently understocked:

PH = 7.5
Anmonia = 0
Nitrite =0
Nitrate = 10
