Quick question on cories.

I currently have two pepper cory and will be upping the number of cories when they are moved to the new tank. Do I/Should I stick with peppered or will the mingle if I were to get a different variety for some...well variety.

Say Peppered and Emerald, just for instance?

Emerald corys are actually not corys, they are brochiis and grow to 4+ inches.

I've always observed different species not to school together.

I would stick with the peppered. When I kept more than 1 type in a tank, they may rest near eachother at times, but did not school together really. Unless your tank is large enough for 2 seprate schools.

Interesting, didn't know that.

Sounds like peppered it is. Between one type of cory and the kuhlI loaches I think the floor space is going to be pretty active. Toying with the idea of a ram though.
