Hi, I have a 40 gallon tank that currently has 7 Cories in it, each being around an inch in length, apart from the oldest two which measure closer to 2". The water temperature is around 76 degrees, ph 7.4, we use an Aquaclear 50 filter and have 2 live plants with 2-3" of gravel. We would love to add more fish but have only had goldfish and bettas in the past. So I have 2 questions;
1. We do not want to overcrowd the tank so is it even ok to add more fish to a 40 gallon tank that already has 7 Cories in it?
2. If it is, what would be a good type of fish to add? We were looking into neon tetras, platy or guppies, in which case we would need to add at least 5 of them.
We love our Cories but the tank does seem a little bare.
