Cory Eggs!

DevDarling

ok so just came home to some eggs!!
I read the thread on hatching fry but I have questions.
Mainly one. Or two..
I don’t have an air stone to put into a container holding them, thought? Alternate ideas? Etc.

Secondly, if I leave the eggs on the side of the tank they will prob get eaten right? I’ve got guppies and Cory cats(obvi) in there.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Dev

If you leave them they will get eaten, if you don't have a air stone or can't get one I would at least put the air line in without the stone. Good luck

Let me rephrase, I don’t have any air devices. Pump, stone, line, etc

I like in a very rural area so that’s a little hard. Walmart is quite a ways away

On a side note I am absolutely not good at getting the eggs off the glass

I use my finger tip to sort of roll them off, your going to squash a few till you get the hang of it so don't worry about loosing some, or you could use a credit card or razor blade, or let nature take it's course.

Ok so far so good I think? I can’t really tell hah. I put the eggs in a container that I’ve rigged up in my 5 gallon betta tank and I’ve used part of his filter to supply the eggs with water flow. So it’s not air but the water isn’t stagnant at least. I hope that will be enough until I can get an air pump delivered.

The eggs look to be a brownish color but I can’t quite tell so here’s some pics of the eggs and the setup.

I feel like a crazy person for my solution but it was This or let them get eaten

That’s gonna be a lot of babies....Will you be able to house them all?

If they all hatch no, I don’t think so. At least not when they get larger. I have room in my 20 gallon for a few more but I can take the rest to the store I take my guppy fry to.
