I got a skunk corrie 1.5inches, 3 days go and put him in my 2.5 gallon tank with lots of plants he was all by himself and today he started going bonkers doing barrel rolls all over the tank and I thought this was odd so I changed a little less than half of the water because my cycle wasn't completley over nitrItes were on there way down they were at .5 ammonia of 0 and nitrAtes at 10 I'm thinking I should have waited a little longer or had a buddy for him to get him but I thought they were pretty hearty fish :'( ill wait another week till all my chems are at 0 them I might try again. I'm going to have a school I'm my 50 gallon

actually, corys are sensitive to water conditions. not as much as otos, but they are. we're sorry your little guy didn't make it. :'(

the temperature might have dealt a hand in it. is there a heater I could use for my 2.5 gallon? I think I have a 15 wat light on over it for 8-10 hours a day just a desk lamp and its pretty far above the water, a good 8 inches.

hmm.. that temp should've been ok for him. it must've been ammonia, nitrites or nitrates if it was a water issue. :/
