Hello,
Can anyone here tell me what kind of coral this is. It was on the love rock and has already opened up in my tank after a few hours of the light being on. Will it survive the cycle? Thanks, Matt

Hard to say for sure, but a zoanthid of somesort. Button Polyp (Palythoa sp.) or Stick/Tree Polyps (Acrozoanthus sp.), or yes, proto/palythoa (Protopalythoa sp)

The green tinge leads me more toward Buttons.

Also - either way, all 3 species contain palytoxin, so do be careful handling them, and moving around them. Don't get too alarmed/scared, but do be careful. Here's some info on palytoxin
