Sorry, I probably should have made this more clear. I'm looking for smaller fish less then 6 inches. I absolutely love shubunkins, sadly I dont have a tank big enough for them.... well a 75 gallon is debatable but I would want to give them the best life possible.

Edit: (Fish that will do well in a community tank).

There’s always the koi betta, but they are very hit or miss as community fish. Some of the fancy goldfish have koi sort of colors.

Have you looked at Koi angelfish? One of them would be fine in a 75, depending on how you define "peaceful". I have one in my 65 gallon community tank.

I am looking for fish that won't eat small Cory's (1.2-1.5 in) and Otos.

Edit: I didnt realize male habrousus cory get less then 1 in. I dont know if angelfish will eat those.

Yes I own a few, I currently have them in my 75 gallon, I was starting to get a few to start a female betta sorority. However they are each between 1-1.5 years old and they will probably be about 2-3 years old before the tank is finished. So I'm not going to try to mess up their sorority as they are doing perfect now. So I may start another sorority after they pass... I understand they could still live to be 4-5 years old (please dont start a war over the betta sorority, I have thought this through and I am going to to take many precautions).

A large tank with lots of hiding places is great for a sorority. If what you have now is working, I wouldn’t disrupt it.

Some male bettas can be kept with tankmates, especially bottom feeders that aren’t brightly colored. But, again, it depends on the individual fish, tank size, and how heavy you plant. A larger tank with more plants density increases your chance of success.

I’ve kept most of my bettas with tankmates at one point or another and have had success with it, but I know other people who have had male bettas that want to be master and destroyer of all.

I have a beautiful and extremely peacful female who would be great for breeding with a very peacful male. Sadly I dont live in a are where fishkeeping is popular and no local fish store or clubs. So I wouldn't be able to sell extras and I dont have 80 tanks to put them in.

Edit: the female betta is a koi.

Can I start a war? Throw a male in there. Ok please don't.
