Cool Find :) White Pearl Shrimp

Just last I night I was googling what other colors cherry shrimp come in, I've currently got bright yellow, a few orange rilI culls and a full orange berried female that I only got the other day, so was wondering if there was anything else 'bright' (as I don't want to mix blacks or blues or any darker colors). I came across 'white pearl' and thought they would be cool but pretty sure no one here in South Australia has them yet (just something to add to my wish list for when they do become available), and today completely by chance happened to find one in a mixed tank of bright yellow and bloody mary reds
I wasn't even looking for shrimp, I was after a few more ramshorn snails to start a little color breeding project and they were in the same tank where I saw this cool little guy -pretty happy about my find so thought I'd share

Ooh, nice catch! Keep him in a species only tank so he only breeds with his kind

Thanks He's in with yellows and orange / orange rilI so I don't know what will come of that (I think it's unlikely I'll be able to find a white female), but I guess if it's recessive I might eventually get some more whites pop up eventually? Some of the yellows I have were also from the same shop so may carry similar genetics.

I'm also hoping if he breeds with the full orange I might get brighter orange, but not too sure how their genetics work as far as that goes.

When two neocardinas cross, you generally end up with dull colours.

I thought it was more from mixing the darker colors though? -like red and blue, or red and orange etc (end up with mostly brown). Any ideas what might happen if crossing yellow and orange? Or say white and orange rili?

I used to have the yellow and orange rilI separate (in tiny tanks), but recently combined them in a larger tank, I wasn't too fussed with what I'll end up with, figured it would just be an experiment, but now I'll be adding the white one in it could get interesting?

I actually have no idea what they would look like. Worth a try

Yeah that's what I figured, I tried googling it but couldn't really find anything. And this white one came from possibly a mix of red and yellow genetics, so who knows lol
