I'm planning on changing the fluorescent light I'm using since the alight amount of light coming from our window seems to not enough for the plants in my tank.
I went to the hardware and ask for daylight fluorescent and they gave my "cool daylight" (18w / 2600k / 1030lumens)
I wonder if it will it sustain the growth of my plants in 30g tank?

    2600 K ??
    Does it mention "Cool daylight"?

Oh.. Sorry. my bad.. Another typographic error..
    It was actually "6500 Kelvin".
and yes, it says "Cool Daylight".

    To be specific it's :
"Philips T8 18 Watt Fluorescent Cool Daylight 2ft Light"

    That makes more sense hahaha.
Lot of members use 6500K for a planted tank. I myself use 4000K tubes (more yellow : cool white)

So it will do just fine then..

Is 4000K also effective in plants?.
