Convince my Snail to Eat Veggies

It seems that everyone on here has great success feeding veggies to their snails. I know they're supposed to help with calcium and keep the shell healthy. I can't convince mine to eat them at all. He'll devour the sinking discs (usually will eat about half as soon as he realizes it's in the tank), and he seems perfectly happy and healthy.

So far, I've tried blanched and not blanched kale, zucchini, cucumber, pealed peas, and green beans. Success rate: he took a few bites of one green bean one time (assuming it wasn't the fish-I didn't actually witness him eating, just saw a small chunk out of it), and thought the kale was fun to climb on (didn't eat it, just climbed around on it). I've been leaving them in for about 2 days.

Is there some trick to it, or is he just getting what he needs from the sinking discs and I should stop trying the veggies until I have some additional snails that will actually enjoy them?

What kind of snail? I'd say that if s/he's healthy and happy on the sinking discs that there's no need to worry about nutritional deficiencies

I find they're all different. I would keep trying different veggies until you find one s/he likes but don't worry if you don't find one

Running out of options. I basically have spinach and lettuce left to try, and that's about it, right, or are there other ones to try?

Squash! I ended up buying a small cut of banana squash, removing the rind, cubing the flesh and then partially cooking it in the microwave. A few cubes went to the snails and the rest I finished cooking and ate myself

Have you tried no salt added canned green beans? That's what introduced mine to veggies.

I tried the canned green beans, blanched and cut in half so he could get to the good stuff. That's the one that got one bite... I'll try the squash next.

Just keep trying, and retry things you've done before. It sometimes takes them a few tries before they figure out veggies are food if they've never had them before. Btw, no need to blanch canned green beans since they're already soft, mine get them straight from the can. You might try no salt added french cut green beans instead, mine like them better, I assume because they're easier access but who knows. ..

the store didn't have any no-salt French cut, otherwise I would have gone that route
