I’m trying to breed my male calico convict with my normal female convict. The male is slightly larger then the female, but the females chases the male away. I divided my 55 with the male and female on one side and the other fish on the opposite side. I have 3 pots, 1 PVC and a few rocks for them to hide but the female still chases the male. I already tried rearranging the tank so she doesn’t claim a territory, but no luck. Any tips for aggression and trying to breed them?

Get another male or female? Just because you have a male and female doesn't mean they will pair up unfortunately. Outside of that, maybe time, or doing some water changes to try and simulate breeding season might help. Beware tho, that they breed like rabbits and have very little resale value.
