convicts need of dither fish?

    if you have a pair of convicts, male and female are they like kribs, that will hide most of the time unless they have dither fish....or are they more outgoing bythemselves.....when i had a pair of kribs bythembselves...the tank looked empty....if i ever upgrade to a new tank and get a pair i want to make sure my tank wont look empty...

    I don't think they need a dither fish. On another thread, Nutter had suggested letting them breed till the tank is full, keeping it a species tank. That's good advice IMO.

    My convicts are some of my most personable fish. They always like to watch and see what's going on, so IME-no dither fish are needed and when convicts are breeding, any dither fish would have a high chance of being attacked.
