55 Gallon Tank Convict Cichlids Aggressived?

I heard Convict Cichlids are aggressived espeically when they are breeding. We have 7 Convicts one male, 6 females, they all get along great, they all hang around and swim together in group. If they are aggressived, they sure don't show it? I didn't know Convict Cichlids like to be in group.

How big are your convicts?

More than likely, your male is going to spawn with one of your females. When this happens, every other fish in your tank is at risk for a mauling. It is a massacre waiting to happen, even though you have a 55 gallon tank. The most success I've ever had was two pair in a 55g. Two of those were BRP/convict crosses.

Keep us posted and start moving fish at the first sign of nipped fins and/or missing scales.
