Just received a CO2 reactor diffuser made by Sera in the mail today. The reactor utilizes 5/8" inner diameter aquarium tubing, but my canister uses 3/4" inner diamter (1" outer diameter). I have 5/8" tubing from my older canister that I would like to use. Is there a way I can convert or adapt my current canister to use the 5/8" tubing?

That's so close you could just use a section of PVC hose and a couple hose clamps.

I just buy the smallest tube and something is too big I take a pencil and stretch the tube out.

You don't think it would leak?

Just make sure it doesn't leak.

Clamp the hose clamps tighter, whatever.
