Constant Hair Algae Help

    I have an aquarium, 160litres, 2 t5 bulbs on it, planted aquarium, 6rasboras, 4 yo-yo loaches, 800lph external filter. Filter media was already set up, it’s been set up around 3weeks to a month now. Anyways, before I planted this tank it was full of hair algae and brown algae which I could never rid. I stripped the aquarium completely, moved all fish to my 5ft tank and started again.

    Topsoil capped with sand, planted tank and again, light stocking. Why do I always always always get algae in this aquarium??

    It could’ve been a very fast and hardy growing species that came in on your plants. I’d dose H2O2. Make sure no shrimp are in there when you do that. Preferably no animals during the process.
