So I am in the process of ordering a 220g aquarium so I can upgrade my 75g. I already have a blood parrot and red eared slider that get along great and will be going into the 220g but am having trouble deciding what other fish I should add. At the moment I am debating on flowerhorn cichlid, green terror, or severum. I might even be able to add 2 more but not 100% sure. My blood parrot is 10 inches and my turtle is about 12 inches. I can't add more peaceful fish because my blood parrot attacks and injures the fish. I have tried convicts, mbauma (spelling?), and butterfly cichlids and none of them lasted more than a day or 2 so I need a fish that is just as big and can handle and defend themselves but won't all out attack and kill my blood parrot if that makes sense. If anyone thinks none of these works, I'm open to suggestions and also I'm open to just not adding anything else if opinions are such. I just feel a 220g would be a waste with only 2 inhabitants and would like to have something interesting with them if able.

I wouldn't add any other fish. The turtle will likely try to eat any new additions. It's surprising he hasn't tried to eat the BP yet. I wouldn't keep even the BP with him, personally. Even if he hasn't eaten him, it's gotta be stressful for the BP to be kept with a predator that could eat him.

Actually the bp is king of the castle and bosses the turtle around especially at feeding times. They have been together for the past 3 years without issues

Then I wouldn't add another fish and upset the balance. Turtles eat fish, and even if he hasn't eaten your BP, it doesn't mean he won't try with the new fish.

Ok thanks! I'll just have to find I interesting ways to spice up their tank so it doesn't look funny with just the 2 of them. My bp is a mean sucker and even attacks me when I clean their tank or stick my hands in for any reason.
