Common pleco clear poop

Hi everyone! Just noticed my poor guy has clear poop. It starts out normal color but the rest that comes out it clear. I’m thinking internal parasites? If so, does anyone have suggestions?

It is possible but is could also be simply be a diarrhoea of sorts, is he eating well?,behaving normally?

 

He eats all of his wafers and is acting normal. I notice his poop is like this on occasion so I might be that. Anything to help with that?

 

I don't have a pleco but being on the forums for a few years I thought that was normal for plecos.

For sure, wait for advice from some one who keeps them though

Maybe try some fresh veggies a few times a week along with the wafers. Plecos love veggies. Try Zuchini, sweet peppers, spinach etc.

It’s not all the time right, occasionally it is considered normal

 

My pleco sometimes does this, he’s pretty big so it’s noticeable. Try a wider variety of food like cucumber , blanched kale and courgette. I’ve recently switched from the dried wafer to semi soft pellets and he’s going nuts for them, he actually comes out and sticks on the glass when I open the food cupboard!!

 

I have some of those Sera wafers with wood in them too. My plec loves those.
