Coloring Or Injury?

    I got a new betta and I've had him for two weeks now. He's beautiful until you look at his head which looks all red and splotchy and beat up. I'm not sure if he's just been through a lot or if that's his natural color pattern. Opinions and advice are definitely needed.     Looks like regular colouring. Search up "betta" and you'll see that almost all of the bettas have a head that looks like that.

    Normal, most bettas have darker heads than their bodies.

    My betta has similar coloration to yours and his head is also like that, you can see in my profile pic. Nothing to worry about!
