CO2 and fluval edge

I have a fluval edge 12 gallon, 6 live plants, 5 danios, 2 corydoras, 2 swordtails.
it just has the filtration system that came with it, power filter (just the canister filter that hangs on the back and circulates the water).
I used fluval substrate for planted aquariums with a cm of gravel on top.

the question I have is I have a CO2 kit that I have yet installed, I want optimum plant growth but was wondering if I do set up the CO2 kit will there be a problem with the fish not getting enough air?

 

Yes co2 takes o2 out of the water just watch it closely. If your fish are gasping for air in the morning put a small air stone in the tank to replenish the o2 suppy

Any time we add CO2 gas to our tanks, we need to ensure that the concentration does not go over 30PPM.

What test kits do you have? You need to know the KH, GH and pH levels are before diving into CO2 supplementation or you could accidentally gas your fish and kill them.

Hey Timbr70, if you've installed the CO2 now would you mind sharing a photo on how you have attached it to your edge?

I've also got a fluval edge 2 and am curious about adding some CO2 myself...
