I just impulsively bought 2 clown killifish for my 29 gallon (I know, I know), does anyone have experience with these? I know they like to be in groups so I’m going to pick up a few more in a couple days. Is there anything specific care these fish need? The pH of the tank is about 6.8 and the temp is 79. Nothing in the tank is aggressive.

They're going to stay mostly near the surface, and do best with some surface plants. Water Lettuce and Water Sprite have magnificent hairy roots for them to spawn in, and Riccia (Crystalwort) has a tight weave they like to lay eggs into. These also provide hiding places for fry.

I know you say nothing in the tank is aggressive, but they don't have to be aggressive to eat tiny fish. Clown Killies don't get very big, less than an inch and a half.
