10 Gallon Tank Cloudy water from new soil

Setting up a new 10 gallon, main aim is to turn it into a heavily planted Betta tank. However, it now looks like a muddy biotape.
I've used this aquasoil from a brand called HELP (Japanese brand that seems to offer an ADA Amazonia alternative). Its not bee pre-washed as per the pack instructions but now the water is cloudy and powdery. (It is not bacterial bloom or algae, but fine particles such as soil, peat flating around) They did warn some cloudiness but it should go away in a day. But its been 1 week. I did a few water changes, but each time I plant something even with extra care using tweezers, its like a dynamite explosion in the water.
Am I doing anything wrong here? Did anyone experience it? And did it go away eventually?
I can't line another layer of gravel because i've already used it for foundation. Im already running an activated charcoal. HEre's a picture of it.
Most important question is- is this bad for my plants (wisteria, sprite, dwarf grass, anubias)? I can see those with bigger leaves carrying those soil particles on them.

That cloudiness looks like the typical cloudiness that all new tanks get.. although that may not be the case, that's what it looks like. I would say it's just plain old heterotrophic bacteria. If anything those particles are good for your plants, just make sure the leaves don't get too dusty. I use a turkey baster to gentle send sand off the leaves of my plants. Give it time, a week is not very long. I think that tank will look very nice very soon

My tank went through a 2 week cloudy period with plain gravel. It's part of the cycling process as the bacteria form. Once they form sufficient colonies, the cloudiness begins to go away. You can also try wiping the inner glass with a sponge in case there's algae formation, which helps a bit.

You just need to be patient, and it should clear itself up. Like many products in the fish world, the timeline for cloudiness disappearing is inaccurate. Many medicines take weeks to fully heal a fish, and a brand new environment takes weeks to build up.

Thank you both! Great help. I'm happy to wait but I was beginning to think cloudiness may be a reality I have to live with. The crystal clarity is not a must but debris on plant leaves is an annoyance. Turkey baster idea is a lifesaver. Thank you again!!!

Guys I would be grateful for one clarification. I'm looking to do my best to control algae in this tank even though I know an algae bloom is unavoidable in new tanks. I'm using a 6w full spectrum plant light. Run it for 10h. No co2. All plants are Easy as per Tropica. If I have used a quality aqua soil as substrate, is there still a need to use liquid ferts? Esp in the initial periods. I'm guessing the soil is leaching lots of macros n micros right now. Dont want overdose on ferts. Or am I terribly wrong about it? I do have a couple of stem plants. This would be super helpful to know.

Id monitor the tank, 1st sign of algae probably back off the light a bit, maybe an hour or 2. You can see if the soil is leaching nitrates by testing for them. If it is id try to keep it under 20ppm since not running co2. Im not familiar with your light or the brand soil you have. The wisteria will do fine, all will actually be fine with just the soil, the anubias needs very little ferts as its a slow grower. Just monitor for deficiencies like yellowing leaves etc.

Thank you! This helps. I have never used soil before, have always been using only liquid ferts. So I thought I'll wait till I see some progress/or lack of it perhaps after a week before dosing anything - aside from nitrates, which I haven't tested yet. Will do this tomorrow.
