Why is my betta’s tail clear around the edges?

Mine is a tiger koi and has something like that too. It's just a genetic trait some bettas have. The only time you need to worry is if you see fuzz and ragged edges. (I don't see those on your baby. He looks fine.) Pretty little guy. :)

According to me your betta looks healthy and fine. I think it's just that it's fins are like that and it is in it's genes. There are alot of betta fish colour morphs. If you google betta fish with clear/transparent fins you will find many photos. And you seem to have a nice tank with filter, heater and some live plants. I hope this will help you.

Yeah, mine has clear edges too. He used to have a lot more clear but after his color transformation, only a bit of the edges are clear.
