Cleaning white decor..?

I hope I am in the right part of the forum, if not I apologize. I have 2 pieces of white decor that (I'm guessing) has algae on it. First the brown spots showed up and then the green..would I be able to clean it off considering it's white? Just didn't know if there would be any point in case it comes back, beginners mistake buying white decor I guess I'm just not quite sure how to clean it, I scrubbed at it with my finger while it was in the tank but it didn't really do anything, I'm guessing maybe just a new toothbrush? I thought my algae eater Zippy would pick at it but he doesn't so that's why I'm not too sure on if it's algae or something else

 

I would put aquarium water in a bucket and then clean the decor with either a toothbrush or a sponge

 

I use a toothbrush. You could probably get some kind of kitchen scrubber used only for the tank also.

Is that plastic decor? You could bleach it also. You just have to make sure you rinse it super duper good. You can put it in dechlor water before putting it back in too.

 

IMO, Texas Holey looks better covered with algae. I have two tanks full of Holey rocks. They started out bone white, now they are shades of green, and various shades of brown. Looks a lot more natural.

Oh wow! Never heard of Texas Holey, is it a real rock? Mine are fake

 

My THR is real, but your imitation THR should look just as good.
