Cleaning Algae On Decorations

I have a large plastic bubbling coral centerpiece in my aquarium. It has quickly become quite covered in green and brown algae. I’m good about cleaning the algae off of the walls of the aquarium but it actually looks quite good on the coral, giving it a very natural rock look. Is it okay to just leave it? Will too much algae cause problems?

No, if you like it then it’s fine. It may spread though to things you don’t want it on.

Algae is just another plant. Most people just think its ugly. Won't harm your fish at all

I leave green algae on the back and sides in most of my tanks if they get it. It won't hurt a thing on decor and such as stated above it's just another "plant" basically. it will harm live plants if you have them though, you don't want it growing on them but the rest of your tank is fine and I generally find it appealing in most circumstances myself but I lean quite heavily towards natural appearances in my tanks anyway.
