My roommate got bit by the tank bug, after watching my four lol, and we set up a 20 Long for her about a month ago. Using about five gallons from my tanks to start it off. Anyway, after about a week she got two african clawed frogs a green and an albino. Prince and Jelly are their names.
ANYWAY, as I was showing her how to siphon clean her tank and how to plant live plants, we noticed Prince, the green frog, has something on him. It looks like cotton on his right rear hip area. Sorry if the picture doesn't quite help but he doesn't like to be photographed.
What is it? He wasn't acting unusual and none of the other fish seemed affected. What do we do to treat it?

Update: Sadly Prince is dead. I checked the parameters and the Nitrate is a bit high, but nothing bad. So what happened?
