Clarification needed on "Show Quality" Bettas

So, I've been studying up on bettas and I keep seeing the phrase "show quality".....my question is what characteristics separate a "show quality" betta from the rest? If I choose to start breeding how do you figure out which ones fall in the "show quality" parameters?

Thank you, that was quite informative on the process, but it didn't cover what characteristics separate a show quality betta from any other betta. It really only elaborated on how the shows run, how the district's break down, and it said (if I read it correctly) that shown fish have to be bred by the shower, not just bought and shown.
