Circualtion pump?

I have a 75 gallon tank with a fx6 filtet and three blood parrots,flower horn, and a jack dempsey. I noticed almost a film building on the water and dead spots so I bought a 950gph power head. Is this harming the fish or tank? Should I just adjust the output of my filter. If you need pictures or even a video ill happily give one.

 

Do your fish struggle against the powerhead? Pointing the spray bar on your FX6 should take care of the surface film. On a side note your flowerhorn will probably kill the rest of your cichlids at some point.

 

No they don't seem bothered but I'm no expert and if the flowerhorn gets to aggressive my local fish store will take it. And the fx6 leaves a lot of dead spots and film
