90 Gallon Tank Cinderblock stand?

I’m considering building a cinder block stand for my 82G tank. It’s a rimless 120x53x49CM tank, is this a good idea?

I want to go for a similar looking stand as this one. I’ll stain the wood and I think I’ll paint the cinderblocks black. At the top I’ll use 3/4 inch plywood and then a styrofoam or a yoga mat under the tank.

Will 2x4s or 2x6s suffice? Will the stand hold the tank?

I don't see anything wrong with it.

Would you go for 2x4s or 2x6s?

I think 2x6's would be best, but 2x4's may work. I'm super cautious when it comes to diy stands, so I would go for the bigger size. In the end it's up to you, and I hope it works out!

I I would do the same design as the photo, but add the plywood on top of the 2x6s (or 2x4s, if you prefer).
You might also want to make the top boards into a frame withe the boards standing on edge). That will give you tons more strength.
