Cichlid Only Eats Bloodworms

Title. This isn't a problem for m or the cichlid, as I can easily pay 7$ a month to get some bloodworms. The problem is, the other cichlids in the tank don't seem to process it as easily, and they end up fat/backed up/bloated for a while. I can't drop in bloodworm cubes daily for this reason, but I don't know how often I should, considering the cichlid in question will not eat flakes or anything else I have that iv dropped in (peas, pellets, a spider that fell in once)

How often should I drop in bloodworm cubes? I know its probably not healthy to wait 4+ days, but its also going to hurt the others if I do it daily or every other day

EDIT: The cichlid in question is a female bumblebee. She lives with a very young port acara and 2 electric acaras

Are these frozen cubes? I hope you're not dropping frozen cubes in the tank. I feed my cichlids frozen bloodworms and they all hog it up in a frenzy. I grab 2 cubes in a cup with alittle tank water to melt the cube. Then I rinse them again in another cup of tank water until they're room temp, then into the tank.

They even eat flakes, and pellets. No problems here.

Ah, so I shouldnt drop it in as a clump. I let it thaw enough to sink but that's about all I did :X

Well I thaw them out first in a cup with tank water. Strain that cup and get a 2nd cup of tank water. Pour strained into 2nd cup (this washes them out and thaws too). Wait like 5min or so. Stir the cup with spoon gently to break the lump up loose, then pour into tank. This will make the bloodworms warmer and all the fish will eat.

I give this to my cichlids every other day so they don't get tired of eating the same old thing day in and day out. Mix it up, fish like variety so don't feed them the same 2 days in a row. I feed mine for 6 days (mixed: flakes, pellets, bloodworms). I don't feed them on Saturday at all. Come Sunday, they're hungry for sure.

Another thing to remember is not to overfeed. Just give them enough food they'll eat in 3min or less.

If they're not eating, it could be a sign of something else. Check your water parameters.

Well I mean, with all my tanks the food is gone in under a minute, minus the cucumber I sometimes give my pleco which she munches on for about half a day before I take it out. Its just it seems to be backing up the insides of my other fish

If this method will fix that, thatd help a lot. My bumblebee is somewhat regularily changing to a mostly yellow and to my knowledge that means theyre not happy

I got my fish dialed in this way and it works pretty good. I'm waiting on some plastic clips to give then veggies. Mine are hardy eaters. I have 5 Africans, 1 Butterikoferi, 1 Bala Shark and 1 Clown Knife in a 75gal. I have 2 Tiger Barbs in a 40gal which act pretty much the same with food.

Hope this fixes your problem with yours. Keep me posted!
