I’d advise against that. Unless it is a very large bucket and you have at the minimum an air stone to put in and he won’t be in there very long at all. Essentially long enough to take him back to t he store

I believe the pictured fish is an OB Peacock, an established African Cichlid hybrid. They grow to about 5" inches.
A certain amount of aggression is normal, but when body damage occurs adjustments need to be made.
Typically the addition of strategically placed rocks or other decor, set up in such a way as to provide cover & concealment is the best adjustment.

Yaa you are right! It is an ob peacock. Thanks I at least know the breed now

Please don’t ignore the fact that their current tank is FAR too small for even one of those fish
