here is a pic of it now look at its mouth. cichlids are mouth brooders.

very cool. one of these days we may be lucky enough to get some betta mouth-brooders. those are beautiful cichlids & pics. ;D

I know its the 5th day (that I know of) and I'm going crazy I can't tell what shes doing, I really need to get her some light on her tank but I don't have the money too

do you have any Dollar Tree stores nearby? Some of them carry the clip-on LED lights for reading -- which work really nicely with a fish tank. ;D if you could find those, light for a buck (until the batteries go).

I cichlid fry for sure there hatched I'm so many days behind!!! wowowowowowo yayayayayyayayazy7yqyyaayyayayayya this is sweet I think there's like 30+

I saw those little LED clip-on reading lights at wally-world for $1.34 here. the ones that the light is at the end of a flexible wand are the ones great for a tank since you can clip it to the side & aI'm the light where you want.

congrats on the fry!

thanks ill try it out they are so cute (shouldnt say that since I'm a guy but I can't help it) there is so many. that and last night I seen like 4 snails in the tank.... I donno how I don't have any live plants in that tank. also my main tank never had any snails in it I'm worryed about snails already.

it's ok.. even would say the fry are cute.. of course he'd force-choke the little ones but he's still say they were cute before he did.

snails can come in on other things.. has anything new been added or do you have a tank with live plants and maybe used something in both tanks?

well I put a few plants in like a month ago.... and a fish too but you would think I would see them before then....

I suppose it's possible for their eggs to lie dormant a while or they just somehow eluded being seen until now.

they are getting pretty big there about 1/4 inch long or longer!!
