So, I was thinking of buying a dwarf cichlid called a Rio mamore. Can't find a whole lot about the fish but on the website it claims that it grows to a max of 2.2". Pretty small overall.

Does anybody know if this would do well as tankmates with a betta in a 55 gallon tank? I have some plants and planning on putting in more as well as some drift wood as well.

By the sounds of them they keep more to the bottom so it should be fine.

That's an Apistogramma, so long as the Betta stays away from the bottom, I don't think there would be any problems.
