Chocolate Rabbits!

There has been quite the debate on where exactly to comfortably and safely purchase freshwater snails especially when it comes to the more expensive high quality exotics. My favorite by far has been Aquatic Arts based out of Indianapolis! This is a company with a very interactive And easily navigated website. You can receive email notifications on restocked animals to be the first to get that (couple of times a year )exotic ! You have to be quick on your cellphone fingers or you’ll miss the chance to get some! Why is it that they sell out so quickly?! The simple answer is that this company clearly has their act together!

I have nothing but pleasant things to say at the end of the day. I had recently purchased some Faunus ater (lava snails) from them For the second time and ended up being sent four empty shells by accident. Contact with customer service was nothing short of timely and perfect.
Henry at aquatic arts “NEEDS A RAISE” !
I have stayed in contact with Henry for this last week and sent the final (thank you) message today after recieveing my free of charge replacements. I did receive substitutes due to them being out of stock but I was given 6 more expensive snails instead of just 3 less expensive replacements! I have been in customer service for around 10 years and was amazed at This companies professional demeanor yet friendly persona.

Let’s all be aware that imposter companies and scam artists are there prowling on innocent hobbyists but this is not one of them! This company is the real deal and it gets My personal approval !

That being said let’s make this a discussion board talking about are favorites and least favorite companies.

CAUTION : DO not purchase from ARIZONA AQUATIC GARDENS. This is one of those SCAM companies I was talking about.

Wish I had room for more tanks - every time I look at Aquatic Arts I want every snail they have.
Do you have a thread anywhere showing all your snails? Seems that every time I look you’ve gotten something else, and I admit to a certain curiosity about your setups and so forth.

I am really not looking for snails (I'm perfectly happy with my nerites) but I did find Aquatic Arts, and when it gets warmer (after this winter) I would like to get their deal on Amano Shrimp. I want to be sure my tank is okay for them since they live a few years. As test bodies, I recruited some ghost shrimp and they are (so far) happy. The Amano population has to go into only one aquarium because I have some ridiculous untrustworthy fish in another one.

Woops! Just realized this was a snail foum! In that case, yes, I would love a snail. I will buy many.

I’ve been in moving limbo for a few months so I only have a couple tanks set up. Nothing speacial at the moment , housing all my exotics in a 20 gallon at the moment with only 1 Molly fry in it at the moment , a bunch of lil half gallon ramshorn growouts a 55 gallon and a ten gallon running at the moment. I have 2 addition 55 gallons , 2 10s and another 20 just waiting to be setup after the move . Here’s a pic of my 20 exotic set up. Again nothing speacial or even near what I have planned.

Love the colors on those. I see mysteries, rabbit snails, ramshorns and maybe a spike snail in that second picture - am I missing anyone?

You pretty much named all the visible snails. However I also have chamber limpets and mud amnicola in there but they don’t get bigger than a few mm.
