Cherry Barbs Not Eating

So here's the deal - I had 5 cherry barbs to start out and they were doing great for a while until I started having ammonia issues. One by one they died until I had two left, a male and a female.

I could never get them to come up to eat so I decided to buy a breeding net. They ate fine in the net and I decided to put together my 10 gallon tank for them (and some glowfish, later). I thought after being fed regularly in the net, they would eat fine in the 10 gallon, but they just aren't eating. I'm thinking of putting them in a 1.5 gallon but I really don't want to do that to them, but they need to eat.

I would like to avoid buying more cherry Barbs - while I do understand the lack of a school might have something to do with it, do you have any other suggestions?

Try feeding then live or frozen foods. It can make them more aggressive eaters and they could do well in the original tank you had them in.
