This stuff works! I was having phosphate issues and decided to try this stuff. With in hours all phosphate bubbles gone and water is crystal clear, the cleanest it's ever looked. The only bad thing is that it removes tannins from the water, so my blackwater turned into crystal water If you have phosphate issues (foam on water surface) this stuff will take care of it for months.

I used it in in saltwater and it is doing a wonderful job !! Phosphates are spot on as needed !!!

Great for shrimp tanks also, it removes copper and other metals. It says it lasts 6 months, that's like $1.20 per month, not bad.

yea I put this on my radar(thanks to your riparium thread) to get if I do end up deciding on getting driftwood, to eliminate tannins, sounds like its even stronger than activated carbon in that aspect.

I was shocked at what it did, I have 6 or 7 huge almond leaves and 4 branches of Manzanita and it removed all my tannins overnight I'll use it in my other tanks for now on, but I like my black water in the 55.

Use Purigen from Seachem does pretty much the same thing and won't hurt your plants you can use as much as you want won't hurt anything plus you can regenerate it and us it over and over. I use both ChemiPure Elite in my regular tanks an Purigen in my planted tanks
