Chemi-Pure Green

Has anyone had any experience with it? Has anyone used it along with Purigen?

 

I have used ChemI Pure Green in my planted 10 gallon tank. Only needed it for about 4 weeks or so. Never had good luck with Purigen.

 

Thanks....Just curious why you only needed it for about 4 weeks? I've been using Purigen and frankly, I can't tell if it's doing anything or not. The Chemi-Pure products look interesting but then I've seen reviews, where it's basically called a fancy, overpriced Activated Carbon so just trying to get some first-hand knowledge before I spend the money

Don't need it any longer after that. Don't use it any more either. Plants are just fine and water crystal clear.

 

That's basically where I'm at as well.....I know people who swear by Purigen and that it keeps their water crystal clear. I tend to think that if you keep up with your WC's weekly then adding something like Purigen may not show dramatic results.

 

Yes chemI pure is better carbon. Haven’t used carbon in years. It’s not needed.
